Introducing DMG – Dimethlyglycine
.
Dimethlyglycine (DMG) is an intricate part of animal and human metabolism. In biochemical terms it may described as an intermediary metabolite. Biochemically it occupies a central position in a cell’s metabolic pathway. (1) This is why it can produce a wide range of positive effects in the body, because of this DMG, when combined with a balanced food plan, can build good health or help reverse disease.

Dimethlyglycine is composed of two methyl groups that are attached to the nitrogen atom of a glycine molecule.

Its Function
The composition of DMG easily makes available one of the methyl groups to fuel numerous, critical biochemical processes in the body. Vitamins, hormones, neurotransmitters, enzymes, nucleic acids ( RNA, DNA), and antibodies depend upon the transfer of methyl groups to complete their re-synthesis and function in the body. There are 41 transmethyl reactions in the body.(2) The methyl group transferred from DMG is vital to each one of these biochemical processes.
In Concert with Balanced Nutrition
Even though DMG plays a biochemical active role it’s benefit results can only be as good as the nutrition nourishing the individual. Because of this, it is essential to ensure your parrot is eating the highest quality of foods that provide a balanced combination of foods that contain all of the hundreds of essential nutrients that must be eaten everyday.
When this occurs, DMG can provide useful building units for the biosynthesis of vitamins, hormones, neurotransmitters, antibodies, nucleic acids and other metabolically active molecules. It improves oxygen utilization to reduce hypoxic (low oxygen) states in the body. DMG improves the immune response by increasing resistance to disease and infection while possessing antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-tumor properties. DMG also modulates inflammation responses. It aids in cardiovascular functions by reducing elevated cholesterol, blood pressure, and triglyceride levels – improving circulation. DMG possess anti-cancer activity, while preventing metastasis (the spread of cancer). It enhances energy levels, endurance and muscle metabolism. DMG improves physical and mental performance; improves neurological function and mental clarity; and has improved verbal communication and social interactions in austic individuals. DMG reduces seizures, improves glucose metabolism (storage and utilization) and can retard cataract development. Dmg aids in detoxification and enhances liver function.(3)

DMG and Balanced Wholesome Nutrition Support Improved Health
In animals DMG has been shown to have antiviral, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. It has improved the performance of animal athletes and has anti-inflammatory properties. DMG has anti-seizure activity. It enhances healing and metabolism of carbohydrates and lipids that is important to geriatric and diabetic animals. DMG can act directly to modulate the immune response for immune-compromised animals.(4)
DMG is available in a liquid form that is ideal for birds and small mammals.
