Dear Leslie,
I found your sprouting mixes excellent. Indeed, when I spoke about Parrot Nutrition at the Think Parrots meeting, Mike Taylor of Northern Parrots told me he had a big rush on sprouting mixtures afterwards! One comment I received, was that the sprouted grains I showed in my photo were much better than those he used. The photo I used was your mixture!
Your book and articles have taught me a lot about the blends of sprouting mixtures and that you do not need a lot of items. just those that complement each other. I wonder what you think about a sprouting mixture that is sold in the UK. It consists of: white sunflower, white millet, clipped oats, red dari, white dari, chick peas, white wheat, lentils (brown, green and puy), buckwheat, peas (maple, yellow and blue), tic beans and canalinni beans). (Proportions not given.) Incidentally, I know what dari looks like — but exactly what is it?
Best wishes,
Rosemary Low
